Response to Article about Effects of Air Pollutants
This entire article was helpful for one aspects of my research. Effects in the air were the main focus of this source. It gave new information that I was not aware of that was interesting and useful. It gives a deeper knowledge of what exactly is damaging our atmosphere. It tells that there is not only one gas that is most talked about and most people are aware of, but that there are to other extremely harmful gases that we should being watching out for, methane and carbon trifluoride. It changes my thinking by making me more aware about other emissions that I’m putting out that I wasn’t aware were harmful. Such as using and disposing computer monitors and flat screen TVs because of the cleaning agents used on them that consist of carbon trifluoride. By giving me more knowledge and information to think about a question that I am thinking of now that will feed my next search is, what are we doing to slow, stop or reverse this problem? By majority, people don’t seem too worried about the matter even though the effects are devastatingly irreversible. I would like to follow the effects in the air for a while to gather more information about what other, if any, consequences these pollutants have on the atmosphere and next research what people are effectively do to slow the result of climate change in the air. And what are we doing right now to lessen the amount of each that we are putting in the air because if we only focus on carbon dioxide and not the other two we will still have a major problem in our hands. If I keep this momentum going I feel I could find a lot of information that is helpful in my search that will tie into another one of my aspects that I am cover; what people are doing to help solve climate change. After I have fully researched air pollutants and the major effects they have, I will then move to either how the land or water or water is changing for the worst due to climate change.
